Hi…

I am facing a serious problem here to make viewport in paper space for printing. Here is the method I used to create view port. ( I have a large road drawing)

1. Create different views in named view in model space (drawn rectangles in model
space and saved in named view with a new names).

2. Change to paper space (layout) and made viewports for each views, then select the
name which I was saved in Named view then make current.

Problem is my drawing (in model space) is in different angles as shown in the image attached herewith. I want each named view in paper space in exact horizontal (not as in model space view). But, it is not coming horizontal in paper space. It is coming only as in modelspace (in different angles) Also, I need this different rectangle views in paper space with exact cutting edge (for continues sheet of drawing) in horizontal angle with a scale 1:2000.

One more question, when I am creating views in named view, can I select the specified rectangle in angular…?? (in default, it can be select only in horizontally).

Hope you are all understand my problem. Please help (I am using Auto CAD 2007)

Image-1 As I create named view in model space
Image-2 Actually I need like this (can I select this rectangle in angular)
Image-3 Image displayed in viewport (paper space) Actually I need this horizontally.

Thanks in advance

what you need to do is create a UCS and then make the view current to that UCS...you can then have autocad rotate the view to that UCS to make things look horizontal/vertical...and each viewport you create can use independantly any of the UCS's that you create...

If you need rectangle view with angular, first you need to change your "ucs" to
your need angular that is made by "ucs" enter "e" enter and select your angular rectangle(it means..ucs align command using). If your "ucs" change your need angular, you need to type in cmd "plan" enter "current" enter. Then you can see your need view and save it.
