Someone please identify this small window, tell me what is it's function and how is it used. Under what conditions or situations does it make it's appearance? I do not remember seeing it more than twice all year.
Thank you,
Reggy

reggy,
I just happend to come across this in a Solidworks book. That is a selection manager window that appeared first in SW2007. It is used for loft, sweep and boundary surface features. Sorry to say I don't know how it's actually used.

Thank you CALCAD, at least it is a start and I can now look it up, (I hope), knowing finally what it is called.

After searching the help files for "Selection Manager", I saw no mention of those words whatsoever. I also Googled Selection Manager and received no mention of Solidworks. Do you remember what Solidworks book you found it in? I am using v 2007.

reggy,
The book is SolidWorks 2007 Bible by Matt Lombard page 219. I am using SW 2008. In the help system index there is an entry for SelectionManager. I can get the window to display if I start the loft function, window select a sketch, then right click the sketch and choose Selection Manager from the list. I don't know why you don't have this in your help files. I am new to Solidworks and I have never used SW 2007.

Yep CALCAD is correct, what you see is the LOFT command, if you click on any of the buttons then look to the bottom left of your screen you will see what you need to do as it will tell you, basically the loop is telling is telling you to seclect a closed loop, the spline like shape is telling you to select a open line or spline or non closed loop, you can read the left of the screen and it will tell you what you need to do.
