Hello everybody,
I received a dwg file with some elevations curves (2d polylines I think),

But I have to work with a 3D model (I'm designer and I work with 3d studio Max).

So, I opened the file in autocad, and I see some lines, but i like to export it as a real solid mesh for 3D max.

Dou you know if it's possible and the way to follow to make that.

Thanks in advance :)

This question has more to do with Exporting a mesh from Land Desktop than it does with 3DS Max, so I have moved it to the "Civil 3D & LDD" section. You will probably get more help there.

Although, you could just create the mesh in Max, see here: Terrain Compound Object (http://www.kxcad.net/autodesk/3ds_max/Autodesk_3ds_Max_9_Reference/terrain_compound_object.html).

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :)

Yeah I'd recommend that route Cad64. If you create a surface in Land Desktop it will create 3d faces only. You would then have to convert those (if that can be done) to a solid.

To convert the 2d polys to 3d you can do them manually 1 by 1 in the properties box, or there is a lisp floating around here somewhere that will make this easier and more automated. I'm searching for the thread now.

I can't find the thread. Maybe it was over at augi or something... Actually, I think it was on the Autodesk Discussion Group site. I've attached the lisp. Holla if you need help.
