Random option change

Coming into work 2day, my settings have being changed, i now can not double click on txt 2 edit, nor double click on blocks to edit them, aswell the properties menu will not go away when the short cut crtl+1 is used, tho will bring it up, as well 'layers 2' in not in my menu bar either, i can not see any problems with my setting in options and the 'double click ' option is enables, i have turned this on and of, as well as a few restarts

any suggestions on how to fix the editing soulution would be great as it is hugely slow doing it the old fashion way

mine were set @ 1, and placing it @ 0, just ment that the properties menu dosnt pop up when u double click it,
I think your close tho, Is their just a pure option to swap from double click = edit text and blocks, instead of double click= properitse menu of the item?
