Question about creating tool palettes

Hello all I am in charge of updating templates and adding new features (user friendly) for my company. I am starting to create new tool palettes and these palettes will need to be usable across a number of users besides myself. There was already existing palettes created before and I have noticed that all the source files for these drawings are on our main network server. Now as I am creating these palettes I am very far away form this server so it lags or the bandwidth is extremely slow. So I am wondering if I create these palettes and export/import them will the "source file" always stay the same? Also if it does stay the same is it possible to create a new source file directory while importing the palette at a different location?

Basically We have different offices in different States that would probably like to reap the benefits of the work I am doing for the company.

If each office has their own server, it should be easy enough to implement them nation-wide.
Whichever folder you create your Tool Palettes in, remember to set that folder as the search path for ToolPalettes in Options.
Or you can develop some form of programming that forces a specific path to be used for ToolPalettes by default, instead of the usual default location.
