Nested Viewports

I have viewports overlayed one on another and I can't seem to switch into model space in the nested viewports.

I double click in them and the main viewport switches into model space... more clicking does nothing.

I tried hilighting the vp and selecting model, but still nothing.

Is there a hotkey that allows you to switch betwin vps?

ctrl+r key combination will work.
