I m using Autocad 2004.
I built the 3d models using EXTRUDE. I then set up
the 3d views using CAMERA set up. I tried to print
the view form model space. In PAGE SETUP I set
the Viewport Shade option to HIDDEN. However,
the Plot preview still show the view in wireframe
and it printed in wireframe also.
Then I tried printing from Paperspace Layout. I cllick
on the view port, go to Property and set the shade
mode to HIDDEN . It still prints wireframe.
How do I print it HIDDEN? Please help.

when your in paperspace, type in "mv" then
type "h" (for hideplot), then "on" and that
should get your hidden lines hidden.

Are your views set up in paper space (layout)? If so, are
your viewports set to hideplot?
Double click the viewport(s) (or select and click properties)
and set hideplot to on.
Do the lines show as hidden when you do a print preview?

I m using Autocad2004. HIDEPLOT is not a valid command, I think. At least thats what it said when i tried it.
I tried setting my views at both model and paper space. Whwn in paper space I performed this:
1. select the viewport
2.. Righttt click for popp up menu.
3. Choose Properties
4. set the Shade plot option to Hidden.
I asloo tried this:
1. Type MView
2.S (9 for shaddeplot)
3. H ( hidden)
4. Selected the viewport
5. Return
Both of these still resulting the plott preview to be showing wireframe.
The lines r continous.
I also check the shade plott option in Plot dialogue box to Hidden.
By the way when i set the print option to rendered or flat shaded, the changes r reflected in the preview.
So I m really bemused why it doesnt do the same wt Hidden.
Please help.Please. Pleaase.

if the preview shows hidden objects..does it also
print the same..or objects in print are in wireframe?
try installing AutoCAD by selecting "full", instead
of compact or standard options..does it help?

Have you used SOLVIEW to set up the views in PS and the tried SOLDRAW to separate the lines? If so you just enter LAYER and turn off the hidden lines in the views you don't want them in. Just a thought.

When I was using 2004 I did this:
1) mview
2) h
3) on
4) a: Click the viewport(s) you want to hide and hit enter
b: If you want all viewports hidden, type in all then enter enter.
Hope this helps :)

hi there, new in post
Try freezing a layer and then plot
Try turning off a layer and then plot
if you dont look any difference
The only thing i know you can do is the mv stuff

Hi there,
1. Try setting DISPSILH to 1. (default = 0).
2. You can also check if you are really working on the actual viewport you want. Maybe you have a viewport over another... Well, thatīs a guess... :glare:
3. Another sys var. Change itīs values and see what happens:
OBSCUREDLTYPE
0 Off
1 Solid
2 Dashed
3 Dotted
4 Short Dash
5 Medium Dash
6 Long Dash
7 Double Short Dash
8 Double Medium Dash
9 Double Long Dash
10 Medium Long Dash
11 Sparse Dot
Well, hope it helps... :)
