Hello all,

I was wondering what kind of procedure is rendering in Inventor; which template (part, assembly etc.) is it done in and how?

Here's an example what I'm looking for:

("Pacson valves"; image from Autodesk's Inventor Design Gallery: http://inventordesigngallery.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=3485943&id=5274941)

I've been looking for tutorials but haven't found any so far.

When you start a line sjetch then create some modelled features you can add any materials you want and textures. It's the same quality as the examples.

Hit f1 within inventor and there are tutorials in there.

Thanks, Nick

So there isn't a separate renderer in the program?

In the example the bright metal parts reflect the other parts of the models, and the shadows cast differently than in my "experiments" (I only get the default "sports car"-reflection, with small shadows under the models).

I haven't found answers in the programs tutorials, there were no hits when searching for "render" (if I recall correctly).

Use the shadow button, use the Colors settings.

The guy who did the example has turned down the brightness and used the 3rd shadow option, X ray ground.
