autodesk inventer

i have been using autocad 2000 to draw 3d models it can be a slow process have just been introduced to inventer 7. the first thing i noticed was the speed at which you can create models you can also loft which i feel is a short fall in autocad but is inventer a better program for things like buildings that need to be rendered or should i use both or even studio max

Although Inventor is actually a design for manufacture package, yes it is seriously easier to model.

Assemblies and parts are very flexible.

I would suggest pure 2D eg floorplans for Autocad and 3D models in Inventor.
