I am looking for some really good tutorial on Flash Macromedia.
I`ve already got a website (all html coded) and the next step would be to introduce a bit of flash in it ... and maybe later switch everything to flash.

The thing is I do not know where to start.
I did a research on the forum, but it does not seem that the subject`s been discussed. Has anyone got some good web address to share about tutorial for beginners and professionals for Flash.

I will need to start with the basics, understand the differents effects, paths, etc .. and then move to practise to incorporate some Flash into existing HTML coded pages.

Cheers for all your advices !!! ;)

I am not a flash user, but I know that Flash5 has a nice help file, with lessons for beginners (about basics) and for advanced users.

Cheers for that fuccaro !! ;)
I`ve allready printed the Flash MX pdf (90 pages) but it looks like you need to have some skills before moving to Flash MX ...
Nobody knows a very basic tutorial for beginners, which states the essential points when you start working with Flash?

Thank you all !!!

The lessons included in the help file I mentioned earlier are really for beginners, but probably flash 5 it is from now hard to find. Are you sure, there are no lessons any more in the MX help?
As I told you, I am not a Flash user, but using other programs I consult they help file. My experience tells me that the serious programs are well documented.

You'll also find some Flash MX tutorials by my friend Psmeg at http://www.psmeg.co.uk/pages/flash_tut_index.htm

There are also some excellent Quicktime movies on the Macromedia "Getting Started" page http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/productinfo/tutorials/gettingstarted/

I would download the many unlocked flash files and manipulate and experiment with what people have done.

Personally I use Swish. It has pre-scripted effects that would take hours with flash. www.swishzone.com

Thanks for the plug David. ;)

@Gwenojenn

Feel free to try out the tutorials on my site, and if you get stuck, need help or just want to ask questions about Flash, then I'd recommend also joining my forum.

The guy that writes the Flash tutorials (flex) is a very talented guy when it comes to FlashMX and especially Actionscript (essential if you want to make a viable Flash based site). He's on the sites pretty much every day, and will always be happy to lend a hand in your learning.

Here is a couple of sites that can help. I have completed many of the tutorials, but time is something that I do not have a lot of, and haven't flashed anything for a couple of months. Have fun, it can be a blast sometimes.
