corel to cad

Hey everybody,

Recently i tried to export a corel drawing to dwg format and found that cad slowed down considerably when i opened the drawing.

Is there anything that i´m doing wrong?

Is there another way to export corel drawings to dwg?

You can export from Corel in DWG of in DXF format. After opening in AutoCAD you may try overkill/purge.

Also if there are a lot of texts and all are exported as curves you can get a big file-size in AutoCAD.

I often delete the imported text and redo it in Autocad, this reduces the file size.
