This question is more suited for the Web Building (http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=23) forum as it has nothing to do with cad management, but is more to do with web design and search engine optimization (seo).

I would suggest going to wikipedia.org and look seo up. There is lots of info there on the subject as well as various other sites on the inet. A google search will produce many many sites.

Get get your site up the rankings make sure you use unique meta keywords and descriptions on each page even tho major search engines don't regard these as important smaller search engines do.

Don't spam your keywords limit them to a few keywords that relate to the page content try to use the keyword at least 2-3 times on the same page but don't over do it. Make sure your text is human friendly it's all well and good catering towards the search engines but useless if it's not attracting real people.

Try to get your site listed in Dmoz one of the best directory sites out there in fact google gets some ranking from there directly!.

Make good use of alt and title tags for images and title tags for your links too as you can get an extra keyword in there it all helps.

Try to make a keyword rich file names and directory names as this will help dramatically.

try not to have query strings and other characters in the address bar if able to use mod-rewrite or rename the file names.

Make the pages valid xhtml and valid css this helps for cross browser compatibility.

Try to get link back from other good rank sites as this will help your ranking think quality not quantity.

That should be enough to get you started.
