Im running mep 2009. A new feature to the xclip command is that you can select the clipped object and you get grips that you can now move around and change the shape of it...But when i try it here i'm not getting those grips. Is there a variable to get a boundary to show up or something? i'm not getting a boundary at all..

Type in TFRAMES and see if the border shows up. Or XCLIPFRAME 0=not visible 1=visible

Set your IMAGRFRAME to "2". This shows the frame but does not plot it. Glad to be of help!

You could just do the xclip command than select your reference than hit "P"- this generates the polyline that was used to clip your reference. Reshape it as needed and than reclip it, than just erase the PLINE
