I am trying to set my default radius when filleting in Autocad 2005. Each time i open a new drawing the radius is back at 0.00 - Can someone please tell me how to set this radius so it is a default setting?

Thank you,
Dave

Why not the fillet radius in a drawing template? That way every time you open the drawing it should be set.FILLETRAD is the variable you will need.

I understand you can set the template for each individual drawing, i was just wondering if there is a way to set up a default radius that is set every time i open a new drawing in Autocad.

thank you -

Well every time you start ACAD it opens a default template. By default it is usually the acad.dwt file. You can set your fillet radius to what you want and then File - Save As and then select the file type as .dwt and then save as acad.dwt . This should do it if you are using the default template file.

Or copy the default template and rename it to something you want and use that template that way you still have your original AutoCAD template untouched.

True that :)

(but I never liked the default template so I don't worry about getting it back ;) )
