succu8us Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I want to change the default title block in mvsetup so i can insert our own to save time or any LISP will do these things after changing the default block.i am now using AutoCAD 09 by the way. Quote
ReMark Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Why aren't you inserting your own template rather than trying to edit mvsetup? Quote
succu8us Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 what im doing really is inserting template by pasting it by using right clicking the layout tab at the bottom left autocad then look for "from template" and then look for our template. but i think if changing mvsetup title block default it will save time since i do like typing method rather than using mouse clicking. ReMark Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Then be prepared to edit the mvsetup.dfs file to accomplish this task. It can be editted using Notepad. Read the first several lines of the file carefully as it tells you how it is written. Do this using a copy of the file. When you are done editting then swap the editted version for the original. Put the original file in a safe location (a separate folder for AutoCAD original files) just in case you need to go back to the way things were. Good luck. Let us know how you make out. Quote
succu8us Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Actually im not a programmer or a computer geek but i'll try it at home im still at the office now dont want to make mess on their new autocad 09. Quote
succu8us Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 ReMark, i've checked this mvsetup.dfs and its very complicated for an electrical engineer like me doing this stuff. i asked our iIT guy here if he can do it but i know he will just spent days or week for this thing. i think we will just settle for the basic one. i know somebody here in cadtutor will give us easy guide hot to edit this one easily. by the thanks!
