Coverting completed AutoCAD drawings to Microstation

I have done some AutoCAD 2008 drawings. These drawings need to be

converted to Microstation dgn format. When that is done we get text

that if offset from orginal points. Text characters with extra spaces inbetween them, etc. How can I make a clean conversion to Microstation format? I have AutoCAD 2009 available.

thank you

I batched converted the drawing thru V8 microstation. What is the best

method to use?

In my experience this is merely an issue of text styles and fonts that are used. You should be able to just switch the fonts of the text to another comparable font in Ms.

What text style and fonts should be used? We changed the text style

to standard but we still had problems.

That I'm not sure about. When I had the issue I was going from Ms to Acad. I would export from Ms where an arial font was used in the Ms text and after exporting in Acad it was all whacked so I just changed to font in the text style to arial and that fixed it.

I am using AutoCAD 2008. I heard that 2009 has a dgn export feature. Will

exporting with 2009 cure this text conversion problem? What is the font

is best to use in AutoCAD for microstation conversions? Maybe that is the question

I should be asking in a new post?

Thank you,

Actually the problem with converting to Version 7 of Microstation.

It seems like the text widths are off and we have to be manually

correct text strings. I will look at the other Bently discussion groups.
