Polyline problem

I am trying to offset a line on a drawing but it wont work.

WHAT I have done is draw over a section of another line (the white line) and then tried to offset that but I see the new line only has one vertices at the start but why not at every change of direction?

any Ideas?

would be intresting to know what's causing this?

It looks like the cause is the value of Z being very far away from 0 (zero)

And how do I fix that?

City are back whoo whoo...sorry :)

All the Z values of the endpoints of all the polylines in that drawing appear to be the same, so just select all your polylines, and reset the 'Position Z' back to 0 (zero) within the Properties Dialogue Box
