I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 and one thing has been annoying me. When I installed it, it created an 'Autodesk' folder in my favorites list. I don't need/want that so I delete it.

Every once in a while, maybe twice a month, the Autodesk folder is back in my favorites. What the heck? Does Autodesk really have to rely on stupid little spyware tricks? I know how to find their website if I need it...I don't need them trying to sneak it in there.

I doubt it's spyware but install and run a few of the spyware detection programs (SpyBot and AdAware) to see if it is really spyware. Run them maybe 1 a week or every 2 weeks. It takes just a few minutes.

I know that it's not actual spyware...it just bothers me that an expensive & professional program like AutoCAD would stoop so low as to constantly put an Autodesk folder into my favorites.

I was hoping that someone would know how to turn this off. It only takes me 2 seconds to delete the folder...but it's just one of those things that is annoying.

What's really strange is not I have not seen this. I am using ADT 2005 and no such folder is in my favorites folder. Not doubting you just I have not seen it. Perhaps it's a setting some where?
