View Full Version : Layer Prop's Manager Dialogue box takes ages to load.

Using AutoCAD LT 2005 with Windows XP.
I select the icon on the tool bar, but the dialogue box takes ages to load and temporarily freezes AutoCAD. Can anyone explain?
I still have AutoCAD LT 2002 but that will not load. After launching 2002 a dialogue box [AutoCAD LT Error Aborting] states FATAL ERROR: Can't load VL system. Is this connected to my problem with Layer Prop. Manager?

Hello Gary, try deleting all of your layer filters. I was having this problem too and then I noticed a ton of layer filters that got there some how. Well I deleted them and my Layer Manager is back to being instantous again.

Thank you very much. Your solution worked.
Don't know why all those filters were there in the first place as my AutoCAD LT 2005 was a new install last week. The filters even had chinese writing.
