Missing parts of imported JPGs - ACAD 2005

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm having challenges importing a JPG logo into ACAD. The jpg looks different when it imports than the actual jpg. The difference is also apparent when I preview the picture in the Image Manager.

Basically, the image looks one way (complete) when I open in Photoshop or an image viewer. But it appears missing pieces and with altered colors when I import in cad.

Any suggestions are appreciated, I've been racking my brain on this one.

Welcome to the forums Nathan.

I import *.jpg images (logos) into ACAD '05 almost every day. Try downsizing the image before importing.

Don't forget ~ Modify, Image, Frame, right click anywhere in the drawing, ~ Frame Off.

Hi Tankman,

Thanks for the feedback! I actually figured it out. I converted the image to RGB, it was CMYK (d'oh!). Imports fine now.

Best,

Nathan
