rookie37 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I have a problem with autocad and Im not sure what is causing the problem When I zoom in it will sometimes zoom e without me expecting it. It does it a lot at home. I assumed it was a problem with my mouse and that it was too sensitive. I thought I was accidently double clicking the scroll wheel. After a closer look, I saw that I don't think I was double clicking. I was more confused. It seemed to zoom e if I scroll in fast. Although I didn't think I was double clicking the scroll wheel I couldn't think of anything else it could be. I only had problems at home. I never had any trouble with this until today. I now have the identical problem I have at home. It will zoom e if I scroll in fast and I'm certain it isn't double clicking the scroll wheel. I have used this mouse for 6 months with no problem. I was in this drawing many times with no problem After I brought in several raster images, I suddenly had a problem! I now think that the memory hungry raster images are causing it somehow When I think of it further, I only have a problem at home if I work in a big drawing. Quote
rookie37 Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 I looked further into this. The reply I got from and Autocad support service was dissapointing but intresting. I tried to call you but got no reply. I think you have pretty much answered your own question. ACAD can be very graphios intensive and on all but the top spec machines with super quick graphics cards it is possible to get ahead of the graphics card if you're working on big drawings or have embedded images etc and in some instances it will pause and zoom extents just to buy it some time and regen what it has in it's own head. You'll either need to upgrade your machine and or graphics card, or live with it or work a bit slower. Sorry. Quote
Strix Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 ... or use the zoom window/zoom previous for accurate zooming instead of scrolling in when extensive zooming is required? Quote
