TimW Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hi, I am a very new user to AutoCAD, but not CAD in general. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to have all the fonts in a drawing changed to txt.shx when the drawing is opened. Actually, this is the only thing I am using AutoCAD for, I open a drawing and convert the text to txt.shx for use in a laser cutter. AutoCAD is the only cad software we have been able to find that has a true single line font available, so we use it as a converter to swap out the fonts between other cad systems. Currently I am opening each file and manually selecting and changing the font, but I am curious if AutoCAD can swap them out when the files are opened, then all I need to do is re-save them. Thanks in advance! Tim Quote
ReMark Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Sounds like a good job for a script. Have you looked into AutoDesk's Scriptpro? Take a look at this explanation first. There is a link included that will take you to the Migration Tools mentioned. http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2007/04/download_new_sc.html Quote
