line colours

i'm using 2004, and can't figure out why on some blocks that i have in my library, even though in the properties they are white, and on a 2d wireframe view it is white, yet when i choose the hide view it turns a browny colour. All properties of the line are white, the block attributes are white, everything is white so why is it doing it!? Please help, i'm going insane trying to figure it out!

Where these objects originally drawn on layer 0 (zero)? If so, these objects will take on the properties of the current layer when the block is inserted.
