hi there.
could any one tell me how to work out the 'M' and 'N' values for the following script

I don't think that there is a fool proof way.

Some mesh rules
M & N - Minimum 2, Maximum 255

The length of the list of points must be an even number

Looks like your list has 30 points. That means 15 pairs of egdes
So:
if M=2 then N=13
if M=3 then N=12
and so on so long as the total is 15 and neither are less than 2.

But I know of know way of determining what the orginal or required shape of the mesh was or is to be. -David

From the repeating x coordinate pattern of 5, the MxN is either 6x5 or 5x6. I pasted your points into the 3dmesh command, and M=6, N=5 works nicely. The other way jumbles the mesh.
