muck Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Is there a way to reset 2009 to use named layout tabs like 2008? In AutoCAD 2008 you could make layout tabs and label each layout tab with a unique name on the bottem of the screen. In 2009 you are stuck with a "Quick View Drawing" button that shows the actual layout pictures at once. Is there a way to reset 2009 to named layout tabs like 2008? Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Right click either the Model or Layout icon. You'll be given the option to display tabs. Quote
muck Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 Where is the Model & Layout icon. What do they look like? Quote
ReMark Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Bottom of your screen just right of center (first two icons you'll encounter going left to right). Just pause your mouse over each one and they will be identified as Model and Layout1. Quote
muck Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 There is a "quick view layout" which has a icon that looks like a drafting board. I show pictures of layouts on the screen which have a tendency to get in the way. I don't see where I can change layout tabs like it was in previous versions when I right click my mouse. Thank you, Quote
ReMark Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 muck: You need to put on your glasses. I'm running 2009 and in my version the Model and Layout icons/buttons are just to the left of the Quick View Layout button. Right click either of those to change to tabs. If these two buttons do NOT show up it is because you or one of your workmates turned them off. To turn them back on right click anywhere on that dark gray band. In the pop-up menu enable Layout/Model (near the very top of the list). That should do it. Quote
