tolley86 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hi all I've got a drawing thats been worked on by others (joys of working in a big company!) and basically I can't open the drawing any more. You atempt to open the drawing, the paper space comes up fine but then it completly freezes, its saying in the bottom left 'Please wait; formatting text......' Any ideas what the problem maybe, its in AutoCAD 2008, i've tried the .bak file and the same problem occurs. Cheers Tolley86 Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 My first thought would be you have an over-abundance of Truetype fonts (TTF) in the drawing. I'd recommend switching to .SHX fonts that come standard with AutoCAD. The problem is how to load the drawing in the first place to make the switch. Quote
