Adobe PDF Plotter

Does anyone else use the Adobe PDF converter plotter on their CAD drawings?

There's the Autodesk (built in to CAD) and the PDF995 on my machine as-well as the Adobe one. Unfortunately I cannot set the latter to print to A1 because in the custom properties it wont let me choose A1 or postscript custome page size.

For batch plotting of A3 the Adobe is the quickest and unlike the Autodesk converter it never creates the drawins as a .pdf file that will not open (which is another shame because this is the only plotter that I have available which recognises Wipeouts).

Did you go into custom properties and try to create your own page size? On mine I had no trouble creating a custom size. I'm using the Autodesk pdf.

When I click custom properties it just doesn't list the page sizes I have created.

In the plot properties menu i have enabled the postcript custom size. Then in the advanced settings I have set this size to A1. Unfortunately when I click the custom properties it has A3, A4, Screen, letter etc; this is on the custom settings for the Adobe printer, on the same tab as all the other Adobe-specific settings.

On another note, have you had any problems with the Autodesk PDF plotter. The main one I had is that it would create that would not open with Acrobat or even the latest Acrobat reader. Although I was testing it out on a variety of drawings today with no such problems.

I try to maintain the same PDF plotter because there is always some slight difference in the end product. But I have no choice but to rotate between Autodesk and the PDF995 when the errors start to occur.

Try going to Adobe pdf settings > Adobe pdf page size > Add. You can create any size page there that you want. I haven't had any problems with the Autodesk plotter, although my colleagues have.
