alijahed Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Hi All, I'm looking for the quickest way to align objects in rounded corners. Please see the Attachment this is the way that I'm doing ate moment. Cheers Ali Quote
rookie37 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Have you tried osnap.y? Move one on top of the other. It does not have to be completely on top but the idea is is that they have the same x value move enter previous enter osnap endpoint .y It's hard to explain but osnap .x or .y is very handy it's worth playing with it to see how it works Quote
jkristia Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I'm not sure I understand the question, but would apparent intersection osnap work?, I have used that to snap to filleted corners Quote
alijahed Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 I exactly doing that method "move + OS find that intersection" and so on... but I am looking for a method which could find that intersection point without grab those endpoints then find the intersection and ... I'm not sure I understand the question, but would apparent intersection osnap work?, I have used that to snap to filleted corners Quote
rookie37 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Osnap appearent intersection is probably the fastest way however. You make another post in customizing. The guru's on there can probably automate this command for you and reduce many steps Quote
Strix Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 if both radii are the same then running osnap 'endpoint', window the section to move, select by endpoint of curve and select the endpoint of the opposite curve by the same method or am I missing something? Quote
alijahed Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 the problem is that sometimes they are not the same if both radii are the same then running osnap 'endpoint', window the section to move, select by endpoint of curve and select the endpoint of the opposite curve by the same method or am I missing something? Strix Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 oh well in that case you need running nearest and perpendicular use the tab key to toggle when nearest makes a nuisance of itself Quote
