skipsophrenic Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Are you on about this dialogue box? If so just type STYLE in command line. Quote
bikoy Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 i know already that, what i mean is making my own style of text, by construct it in autocad dwg. and save it as font style text... Quote
wannabe Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Good question. Look forward to seeing if this thread returns an answer. Judging by the various shape and text files CAD often asks for, I expect you can. Quote
dbroada Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 look in your AutoCAD help file. Its under AutoCAD 2008 Customization Guide > Shapes and Shape Fonts > Create Shape Definition Files > Text Font Descriptions Quote
cadvision Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 there used to be (release 12 time) some 3rd party s/w for making SHX. I have a friend here in New Zealand that made his own hand font. You could make a truetype font & use that. There maybe more software for creating TTF on the internet than there is for SHX. Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Kiwi... I used to have a software for making a SHX type of font out of some TrueType design. Converted maybe six fonts over to SHX style. I think found out about it via the older CADALOG site. Wm. Quote
bikoy Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 thanks...can you give me the site, exactly...where can i download this software... Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 You know, I do not remember. Perhaps someone else here can remember. I switched out computers and hard drives about nine months ago, and think the software was on it. Was called something like TrueType to DXF I think, or abbreviated somehow. But, was told via CADALOG (or maybe Adobe) on how to get to the site before it went Modern. I only use it about once per year, as the text is moreover what I need. Is designed for Windows 98, ME and 2000. Can only remember it has some sort of screwey loading of new fonts involved. I yanked the hard drive out of older (dead) computer, and will see what is there. Check back here in about five days if you cannot find referece to it. Wm. Quote
