enelram Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi, I work for a company that builds transportable houses. Our client who markets the houses require drawings of the standard package and drawings with upgrades. Example...For Design A, we have a Standard package and one with upgraded Kitchen (has OHC) or upgraded bath ( with pivot screen door for shower). There are other upgrades like electrical (more gpos), laundry upgrade (with ohc). Is there a way for myself to draw these in one drawing and just on/off layers (or x-referencing) if a client wants a package with upgraded kitchen only and a standard bath. Or vice versa. Or would it be more efficient to have separate drawings to show a standard package, another with upgrades, another with combo. But that's too many drawings and more room for error. I'm not sure, . Please advise. Quote
Dipali Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 you can do it in one drawing with different layout & different layer states for each layout. Quote
ReMark Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I agree with Dipali. I would suggest you read up on the use of Layer States as it may be of benefit to you when it comes time to print the different versions. Quote
