Output of dwg. for Mac or Adobe Illustator

Hi,

We have a client, who has emailed us -

" I work on a Mac, so I wld prefer to have yr output in a format usable on a Mac, and preferably importable by Adobe Illustrator"

From what I have read, dwg's won't open in Mac & I can only assume neither will dxf's. I read something somewhere about Adobe Illustator being able to convert pdf's back to Cad. Not sure if this will is possible?? Any suggestions on what I can tell our client?
