I have read the AutoCAD help files relating to photo real and photo raytrace and have played about with both.
The point is that when it comes to the final printed output I can barely see any advantage of rendering using photo real over photo raytraced. The photo real image has a barely discernably better appearance than the raytraced one. But to me the raytraced option renders in minutes as opposed to hours it takes when using the photo real option - especially on more complicated models.
So, in our school, I now advise my pupils to use the raytracing option as it saves so much time.
Anybody else got ideas on this?
Rob.
