viewing data tables associated with ArcView files in Cad

I am transfering ArcView shapefiles with data attributed in the tables to someone working with CAD, they are unable to view the data table in CAD but can view the polygons.... I do not have knowledge of CAD, can the data table be viewed in CAD or is it not integrated with the shapefile? Any information would be grateful.

This functionality is not available in plain AutoCAD but there are plenty of little apps that can do this for you, see here (http://www.guthcad.com/arcv2cad.htm) for one example. Google for others.

I'd be really interested to hear how you get on, a good solution would be very useful for a lot of people.
