shoehne Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I am printing pdfs which are then placed into a word document. However the drawings do not print well. . .the text is all fuzzy. Any suggestions to get them to print clearer? Quote
BenE Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I have been getting around that by doing a print screen of my paperspace, pasting that into irfanviewer (a free opensource picture viewer), and then copying the image and pasting into Word. This method doesn't compress your image data, and seems to give sharper drawings - although they're not great by any means. Quote
darn-net Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I'm assuming you are using the built in "DWG To PDF.pc3" and not third party. If not you'll need to add it as a printer/plotter. The trick is you will need to play with the paper size and plot style table (pen assignments). If you can't see the Plot Style in the plot dialog then you need to click the expand arrow in the lower right corner. Currently using 2008 Mechanical. I am assuming your build of 2009 has this plotter. Quote
BenE Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Perhaps I misunderstood. Are your PDF's fuzzy, or is your .doc displaying fuzzy?? Quote

Any suggestions to get them to print clearer? Plot to a .png at a high resolution, like 2000 or 3000 dpi, then drag the .png file onto a word document. Better resolution than a DWF or DWG dragged straight into Word. You can do that, drag the drawing file into Word, just doesn't look as good as a hi-res .png. That has been my experience any way. eldon Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Or perhaps WMFOUT, then insert the wmf into Word Quote
