fostertom Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Plotting - a mystery to me. Can anyone suggest an idiot's guide? I have Acad 2006. Right now, I can't print A1. I click a Layout tab>Plot, dialog says The paper size in the layout is not supported by the selected plot device. Click OK> Plot>Printer/plotter shows HP 110plus nr.pc3 (also selectable are Canon ip5200, Canon ip5200.pc3, and Default Windows System Printer.pc3, and None). (What's this .pc3 anyway?) Properties>Custom Properties opens Canon ip5200 Properties. Paper size>A1 not available. The 110nr is on and connected and I've re-downloaded the driver from HP. Quote
fostertom Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Ah - I had the wrong USB lead plugged in, now plots A1 OK. But in 110nr Properties, all my Print Task Quick Sets gone. I wd still like an Idiots guide e.g. what's .pc3 all about? Quote
ReMark Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Straight from AutoDesk website: "A plotter configuration file, or PC3 file, enables you to easily configure a plotter and to save the settings for later use. You can set up multiple configuration files for the same plotter by selecting a different configuration in the Plot dialog box." Quote
