atb1984 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I'd like to be able to have a bill of materials in my .dwgs, (preferably the paper space) that can be updated automatically if i edit the bill of materials in some other software besides autocad. For example, I currently create the BOM in xcel, and paste the BOM into a .dwg as an ole object. I'd like to be able to make changes to the BOM in xcel, and have it automatically update in the .dwg. The BOMs don't have to be created in xcel, that's just how I do it now. Any type of spreadsheet software would be fine. I understand that there might be add-ons for Autocad that are specifically for BOMs. Any recommendations for this would be great. Running Autocad 2004. I hope that is clear. Thanks in advance. Quote
