paulgomes Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 HI I am having trouble plotting a file the scale is different on each viewport which makes my text size vary. also I am not sure how to show the bar scale of my drawing. how can i create a scale that will match the scale i have drawn in and also show the correct scale on paper I am attaching a file so you understand my problem Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Easiest way to show the scale - (not necessary to standards though) - is to create a multi-coloured bar with evenly spaced intervals (with marked distances) and put it in say, the bottom corner of your drawing, then, when plotted - even if the drawing is shrunk to fit, the bar will still be correct to its markings. luther4000 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 In the new versions of AutoCAD (at least from 2008 version) there is a property of objects called Annotative. What these property does is to show objects with different sizes depending on the Active Annotative Scale. With this, you can make the same text appear with the sme paper size when printing viepots at different scales. Quote
