Strix Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 what version was it created in? have you accidentally zoomed out in an unlocked viewport? if you zoom extents your model space does it have the same effect? Quote
ReMark Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 You could click inside the viewport and do a "zoom all" but at some point you'll need to establish a scale for the viewport. Do you know what you'll be using? Quote

Do you know what you'll be using? thanks but already tried that to no avail. I really think that this was done in autocad r somthing and a very large scale was used in the first dwg this dwg covers 5 sq miles of space dwg has been worked on by others that did not save anything to show what was done Quote
ReMark Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 You have LT 2007 and the drawing was maybe created in R14. Neither fact should play a role in the problems you're having. Have you taken any of the advice so far? If so, what were the results? Quote
Strix Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 did R14 have the modelspace/paperspace facility? can you post the file for somebody to take a look at properly? Quote

ReMark Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Strix: Yes, r14 had Paper Space. It was renamed to Layout after this version. Quote

Yes I have talked to people and to you all and still to no avail. but still working on this problem with out haven to rebuild the whole dwg over agan. I am not sure that R14 had paper space? or it was done just in Model and they used a block file to plot out the dwg for a hard copy Quote
Whiteco Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Strix: Yes, r14 had Paper Space. It was renamed to Layout after this version. I was pretty sure but it does not work in Autocad Map 3D 2006 eather Quote
ReMark Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 You can't get the drawing to fill the viewport in your layout? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 have you tried deleting the viewport and just creating a new one? Quote
Whiteco Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 You can't get the drawing to fill the viewport in your layout? Yes but the dwg is very small almost a dot and when I zoom it it just become distorted beyond use model space shows it just fine Quote
Whiteco Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 have you tried deleting the viewport and just creating a new one? yes and it still stays very small and then zoomed it is destorted and I can not use it I tryed several ways to get it to show up in any kind of a view in paper space Quote
ReMark Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Go into model space and WBlock out whatever is in there to your hard drive. Then open a new drawing and insert what you saved. Quote
