Does anyone ever answer any questions on this forum?

I saw one topic had 554 views and only two replies... Being helpful never killed anyone

Well it's not that. It is simply that Inventor has such a specific market that many here don't use it. We used to have an Architectural Desktop area as well but it was almost never used so it left. I wish there were more Inventor users here but there isn't :(

That's right, as a community, we have to try new things in order to attract more members and we always end up asking ourselves the eternal web designers question, "if I build it, will they come?". In the case of the Inventor forum I'm afraid that the answer is sadly, "no, they won't".

Sorry we can't help but I guess there must be a forum out there just like this one but full of Inventor users.

Good luck. :luck:

I understand.
A head hunter told me the other day that Inventor drafters/designers were in demand. It seems like every time I learn a new "hot" cad system it is replaced by an even "hotter" system. I started with AutoCad and then CadKey became all the rage. I switched to CadKey. Then SolidWorks came along. The company I was working for was starting to train everyone on SolidWorks but they laid me off before I got my turn. At that time I was back using Autocad again. I like AutoCad. I really like Inventor for sheet metal design. I'm unemployed right now. But I'm going to stay with Autocad and Inventor. At 54 I really don't feel like learning a new system.

I've noticed an entire generation of software dependent drafters, designers, and even some engineers, those capable of making calculations with out the assistance of a cpu seem to be a dying breed, at 54 i'm sure you have more to offer than knowledge of the latest fad in software.

What a nice thing to say. Thank you.
I just landed a part time AutoCad Lt position. It will be simple 2d drafting and ECO changes. Real boring stuff. In the mean time I will be taking a Inventor solid modeling course. That's really my favorite type of drafting.
