brawleyman Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I have a floor plan that I Xref'ed into a new drawing with room text. When in model space, the text show correctly, but when in paperspace, the text and square around the room number does not show. I already checked the VP freeze and it is fine. I cannot think of what else I can check to get it to show. Suggestions? Quote
NBC Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 is it something to do with the annotation feature ? Quote
brawleyman Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 NBC: I don't know. The room names/numbers are a block with attributes. I checked a few of them and they are no different than the other floors I have set up. Just for some reason, the one floor is doing it. I used the same template for all the drawings. My setup is that I have the original floor plans from an architect x-refed into our file with our titleblock and standards. Maybe there is some kind of variable changed in the x-ref itself? Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 hmm... my first thought is that you don't have the font file, but then for it to show up in Model Space knocks out this theory. Again, you say that all the layers are thawed out - so thats another one eliminated. Sounds obvious, but may help - but have you tried doing a regen when in paperspace? Quote

I thought that as well, but there is also a polyline box around the room number that doesn't show either. I have tried a regen and even audit and purging, but nothing has changed it. I have even tried opening it on a different day after rebooting the computer, but i still get the same thing. The only other thing I haven't tried is opening it up on another computer. It just baffles me, like most everything else. Quote
BenE Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 did we totally rule out the text annotation? If you don't have the correct annotation scale loaded within the text attribute, it may not show up in paperspace. For example, if my text is annotative and only 1:10 is loaded, but my viewport is set to 1:100, I won't see any text in paperspace. You can load annotation scales from properties. Quote
