i have a couple of questions about 2002.

when setting up the layers i sometimes have trouble clicking on the OK icon to let me out of the window, i know that i can increase the resolution on the computer but this is happening on laptops as well i these have a set resolution, any ideas.

also, in autoCAD 2000 when i am positioning something i use an endpoint/midpoint etc as the displacement and move down a temporary allignment path and type the distance i want to go and it moves as requested but when i try this in 2002 it does not move, i can get round this by switching of the snap after i have chossen the object but this seems a bit clumsy and time consuming are there settings somewhere that can change this.

Try the "from" option, I have found that this works.
I found the same problem going from 2000 to 2002

Re-size the layer control window as you do with any window.

In 2k/2ki - goto options then drafting >

Copy these settings.
