tem Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 hello when i draw a line or polyline in model tab and set the brocken line type at wished linetype scale it seems ok, but in a layout tab it looks as a dicreased unit of linetype scale. can someone assist me? thanks model-paper.pdf Quote
Tiger Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 vary the setting of the LTSCALE or the PSLTSCALE variable until it looks good. I'm sure there's suppose to be some logic to the variables but I've never found it Quote
lpseifert Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Msltscale=1 Ltscale=1 (or to your liking) Psltscale=1 (needs to be set in each PS tab) Quote
tem Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 thank you but it didnot help result os the same Quote
mshearer Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If you set the model space ltscale to the desired paper space xp factor you should see the line in model space exactly as it will print out in paper space. (this only works when the model space is in a file that is xref'd into paper space...i think). For instance: if you are printing the sheet (paper space) at 1/4" = 1'-0" you would set your ltscale in model space (of the XREF) to 48, and set your ltscale in the sheet (paper space) to 1. I am not a fan of psltscale. Quote
uddfl Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 if you are printing the sheet (paper space) at 1/4" = 1'-0" you would set your ltscale in model space (of the XREF) to 48, and set your ltscale in the sheet (paper space) to 1.Right. In sheet drawings that contain several viewport scales, the LTSCALE system variable should be set to 1, and PSLTSCALE should be set to 1. In working drawings (xrefs) LTSCALE should be set to whatever scale the drawing is to be printed, then PSLTSCALE can be set to 0 for viewport visibility purposes. So if your model is only at one scale and you are plotting from the same file (no xref), set LTSCALE to the desired scale or visual representation and set PSLTSCALE to 0. Quote
uddfl Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Fixed my error. Update your quote.OK, I did, but you are still incorrect on your last statement: the PSLTSCALE variable is saved per drawing, not per tab. I am not a fan of psltscale as it must be set in each tab. Quote
Sye1982 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 In model tab use: LTS = 1 In Paper Space Tab use: PSTS = 0 make sure all your individual paper space tabs are all zero then whatever you see in the model you should see in paper space Quote
