Hi

 

I need some help with this problem, I am subtracting windows in cad using a cookie cutter, when i view it in file linked into 3ds max its looks like this, Its a reocurring problem for me, anyone got any ideas, I dont think i would be able to cut out my windows in max as I do all modelling from point clouds data in autocad? I tried turning off auto smooth adjecent face and few other things, am lost and need to get this sorted asap, its holding my up? any ideads? cheers

Are you applying a material to this in Max? If so try ticking the '2 sided' option in the materials editor...

Thats actually not a rendered image, thats a perspective view screen grab, But rendering with 2 sides would not make a difference, All I know is that every time I subtract a window with my cookie cutter in Autocad I get this slight distortion and it increases the more windows I subtract!!!

The file is georeferenced in ArcGis, This is hardly a factor, Because I have a previous version before this file before georeferencing and it is not distorted
