damob23 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Hi I need some help with this problem, I am subtracting windows in cad using a cookie cutter, when i view it in file linked into 3ds max its looks like this, Its a reocurring problem for me, anyone got any ideas, I dont think i would be able to cut out my windows in max as I do all modelling from point clouds data in autocad? I tried turning off auto smooth adjecent face and few other things, am lost and need to get this sorted asap, its holding my up? any ideads? cheers Quote
Haz Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Are you applying a material to this in Max? If so try ticking the '2 sided' option in the materials editor... Quote
damob23 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Thats actually not a rendered image, thats a perspective view screen grab, But rendering with 2 sides would not make a difference, All I know is that every time I subtract a window with my cookie cutter in Autocad I get this slight distortion and it increases the more windows I subtract!!! damob23 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 The file is georeferenced in ArcGis, This is hardly a factor, Because I have a previous version before this file before georeferencing and it is not distorted Quote
