Lithium Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 In another thread I read about %%d, etc. Where do I find documentation regarding these? Is there a list of others? Put %% in Help and you get nothing relevant. I tried %%c and found out it is a diameter symbol. MM I haven't tried and have no idea what it is or does or how to use it. (I'd guess something to do with millimeters.) I just want to know where I can find this information, if it is, in fact, documented by Autodesk. Quote
NBC Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 In the help file, click on the Index Tab, and type control codes into the keyword box. This should give you more information. Quote
Lithium Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Thanks, NBC. Just to set the record straight, I almost gave up on your instructions because nothing relevant came up. However, I tried the Search Tab and that is where I found what I was looking for. (Fewer codes than I was expecting.) Quote
BIGAL Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 if you use true type fonts then you have acces to all the extended charcters you ned to know there code number ie you hold the alt key down and type in a 3 digit number. handy if you want little squares as tick boxes etc. Quote
Tiger Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 take a look at this FAQ for Adding Symbols to MText - not a offical Autodesk source, but official CadTutor source and MM is..I'll explain with an example. Do a dimension, any dimension. Click on it and bring up the Properties tab (type PR, go Modify - Properties or click the Properties toolbarbutton). Under the Text-section you'll find a box called Text override - if you type MM in there, the actual text on the dimension will get a MM after the dimension number. The means that the original measuerment will be retained. Quote
