How PLine Width is Changed by Color When Plotting

Hi, first time visitor. I'll probably stick around for some time... seems like a great forum.

I am taking my first AutoCAD course in my first year of an architectural program. My instructor suggested we draw arrow heads using polylines with different widths for the start and end points... easy enough. Our current use of colors will influence line width when we cover plotting later. This raised several questions which remain unanswered after asking the instructor, checking books, and lots of Google.

(I am using the phrase "plot style" to mean assigning a color to a line and then using that color to specify a width when plotting. Please keep in mind that I'm thinking AHEAD to when we cover plotting.)

1. Are colored polyline's with widths left as 0.0000 modified by plot styles?

2. Are colored polyline's with different starting and ending vertix widths modified by plot styles?

Also, for the case of the standard line, the default width is modifed by plot styles:

3. Are lines with specified widths changed by plot styles?

Thanks much!

??? You cannot add width to a LINE object, only POLYLINE or LWPOLYLINE

Sorry, I'm confusing the width setting of PLINE with the lineweight drop down box found in the Properties toolbar.

Thanks for the speedy reply!
