Hello,

I work for an electrical contractor. I layout jobs for the guys in the field using 2008 MEP. I got to messing around with data extraction. It looks like it would be awful handy to use in making a bill of material. The trouble is that I cannot find a size column for 3D conduits in the spreadsheet produced by the data extraction function. It works fine if I draw everything in a polyline, but not if it is drawn as 3D conduit.

Does anyone know a way of getting the data extraction to show a size of a conduit modeled in 3D?

Thanks,

Dave

I'm looking for the same thing. I can get the information in a field or with the list command but I was hoping to use the data extraction. You would think with all of the information that it pumps out, one of them would be the conduit diameter. I was hoping you might have come across a solution since no one has replied yet.
