Harv Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I am still getting used to 2009 after spending a couple of years on '06. A common practice for me was always to create a component of my drawing, turn it into a block so it was easy to copy and paste around to other places, then xplode the block so I could edit it in place. Now I am frequently being told by CAD that I cannot xplode something. ideas? Thanks in advance. Quote
lpseifert Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Start the Block command, select the block from the pulldown ; is the Allow Exploding box checked? Quote
Harv Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 no it was not checked, but I did not know that was an option so that was a good exercise. Quote
NBC Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Is the block actually an Externally referenced file (i.e. XREF) ? Quote
Harv Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Is the block actually an Externally referenced file (i.e. XREF) ? nope. just a block that I drew. Quote
