OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hi, When i draw i sometimes want to see if any previous moves were made correct, so i 'undo' the things to go back a few steps. As long as i don't do anything on the drawing its fine, but as soon as i click my mouse i cannot go back to the last edit. Is there an way to save that state withoug saving the drawing and loading it back up when i undo things and zoom in/out and just go back to the latest state of the drawing ? Loading and saving is an option, but with our slow network not an beneficial option. Quote
Hedgehog Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 If I understand you right you're trying to undo then redo to get back to where you were... in which case as soon as you do something after an undo (including a simple zoom) you can't undo that & expect to then redo something else... the connotations would be extremely complex & it'd eat up memory. OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 i don't see any problems in a feature like that. How troublesome can it be to store the state the drawing is in (besides just quick saving the drawing) and then undo some commands to see how it was a few steps back so that with an push of the button i can go steps forward but still zoom in and out (what mostly is the only thing i do then) in any current state other than the latest. (i.e. photoshop has that sort of memory, it even shows an toolbaar with the latest edits, i can easely switch between these states and go back.) Quote
