Just bought a new Brother MFC-6490CW printer and I'm having a few little problems with some print jobs. It works fine printing word documents but when i go and print an A3 it seems to print only a quarter of the page. Therefore something thats drawing for the size of an A3 sheet is reduced to a quarter. When i print in A4 size it seems to work fine.
I feel i've covered everything possible.
Plot box
Printer type Brother
Paper size A3
Plot Area Layout
PLOT Scale 1;1
Preview looks ok
Plot style table none
Shaded viewports Normal
Printer properties A3 paper

and you've updated the drivers?

what happens if you 'plot to fit'?

Thanks for your reply. After foutering about with it for another while i got a response. It seems that if the paper sizes don't match excactly then it gives problems. I was using A3 borderless in my plot page manger while in my printer porperties it used A3. I set both to A3 and it worked fine. Incidently i have contacted Brother online help and after a day and a half I'm still waiting.

Thank god for CadTutor forum and all its members:) .

thanks for posting back with your solution!

printer/plotter problems are the most difficult to resolve and we've a number of threads which sadly don't seem to have a conclusion
