Megs1988 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Okay, so i found a 3D image online that opens only in 3D Max, but I need to get it into Auto Cad. Any Ideas onto how I would do that? Thanks! Quote
Megs1988 Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 It is a 3dsMax Scene File....I got the block off of the Herman Miller website. Its a 3D image of an Eames Rocker Chair and I need to transfer the image into Auto Cad so that I can edit it. Is this possible? Quote
Cad64 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Not with a Max scene file. Autocad can't read .max files. You will have to open it in Max and then Export it as an Autocad .dwg file. Quote
Bowl.Spliffson Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 under the file tab you have to export and than change the extension to .dwg .If it's a rendered image don't be upset when it doesn't look pretty anymore Quote
trubin Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Weird, i always thought you could just select the file, ctrl+c it and then ctrl+v it to 3d max. Quote
Cad64 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 He wants to open his Max file with Autocad, which is not possible. FYI: Ctrl+C in Max creates a camera Ctrl+V in Max clones selected objects Quote
